The next entry in the Call of Duty franchise is allegedly titled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and a soft reboot of Modern Warfare series.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is not the same as the original 2007 Modern Warfare or 2016 Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered.

We heard a lot of rumors of the next Call of Duty 2019 to be Modern Warfare 4.

Twitter user and YouTuber LongSensation tweeted, “Call of Duty 2019 is called… Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. I’m not joking.”

Kotaku’s Jason Schreier has tweeted confirming the name, and Eurogamer confirmed according to their reports and sources.

Jason Schreier reports that the game is a “Soft reboot” of the series, set to launch this fall from Infinity Ward. “It’ll be heavy on troubling, realistic emotions, very much inspired by the controversial No Russian campaign in Modern Warfare 2 that allowed the player to gun down civilians.”

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reveal is scheduled for May 30.
